You just made an argument that more balance needs to be in play. That's the problem, there aren't that many new players jumping into NS2. It could be, but it was usually kind of a desperate thing. It could work when marines were overextending (i.e winning) so it's wasn't a strong move. Marines become way stronger in the hands of skilled players, while they struggle in the hands of less experienced players.Īliens being harder to play, they're so-so in the hands of noobs, but they have more durability so when they face newer marines, everyone struggles and it's ok.Īt mid-tier though, aliens start to know what they're doing and players can use more of the potential of the aliens, while marines still struggle to be good. The real problem isn't the teams, it's the players. It's pretty balanced, but aliens are actually a bit stronger I think (arguably).
